Endometriosis, the abnormal growth of cells like those in the lining of the womb, is a condition that affects 1 in 10 of women of reproductive age. That is 176 million women worldwide. Endometriosis is caused by endometrial tissue that grows outside the uterus, gathers around the nearby pelvic organs such as the fallopian tubes, ovaries, bladder, and bowel.

The trouble is, every time a woman goes through the bleeding phase of her menstrual cycle, so do the errant endometrial cells. Although in their case, there is nowhere for the blood to exit the body, causing pain, inflammation, and in some cases the formation of scar tissue. Symptoms include painful periods, pain with intercourse, pain with bowel movements or urination, excessive bleeding, infertility, fatigue, bloating, and nausea.

Endometriosis can be caused by retrograde menstruation, transformation of the peritoneal and embryonic cells, surgical scar implantation, endometrial cell transport, and immune system disorders.

Several factors place you at greater risk of developing endometriosis, such as: never giving birth, starting your period at an early age, going through menopause at an older age, short menstrual cycles — for instance, less than 27 days, heavy menstrual periods that last longer than seven days, low body mass index, any medical condition that prevents the normal passage of menstrual flow out of the body, and reproductive tract abnormalities.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. Rather than taking painkillers which could potentially cause more issues as well as become very addicting, CBD is a great alternative for dealing with any pain or discomfort. Cannabidiol is a stimulator of the TRPV1 receptor that can desensitize it. After a little bit [of stimulation], the TRPV1 receptor does not respond anymore. So, it is a way of treating pain. GPR18 is another receptor that plays a role in Endometriosis. It is activated by several endogenous lipid neurotransmitters that also interact with the endocannabinoid system. Cannabidiol was shown to be an antagonist of the GPR18 receptor. Because CBD is an antagonist at this receptor, it should help prevent the abnormal spread of the endometrial tissue.

If you are struggling with Endometriosis, our AHS 3000mg full spectrum tincture is the number one item we would recommend.

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

Up to 10% of the US population are affected by seizures at some point in their lifetime. A seizure is abnormal electrical activity in the brain that happens quickly. It may go nearly unnoticed. Or, in serious cases, it may cause unconsciousness and convulsions when your body shakes uncontrollably. Seizures come on very suddenly and the seriousness and length of one can vary.

There are two main types of seizures. Within those two types of seizures there are subtypes.

The first kind of seizure is a Generalized Seizure. Generalized Seizures involve your entire brain from the beginning. There are four subtypes for Generalized Seizures. These include: Tonic-clonic (grand mal), Absence seizures(petit mal), Febrile seizures, and Infantile spasms.

The second kind of seizures are Partial (focal) Seizures: There are two subtypes for Partial (focal) Seizures. These include: Focal onset aware seizure and Focal onset impaired awareness seizures.

Symptoms of seizures differ depending on the type of seizure occurring. These symptoms may include: uncontrollable, spastic movements of your body, particularly your arms or legs, stiffening and then loosening of limbs or muscles, loss of consciousness, staring into space, confusion, sudden emotional states that can include a feeling of doom, deja vu, fear, or euphoria, sweating and nausea, involuntary movements of your tongue or mouth, screaming, or crying, rapid blinking, and falling to the ground.

Seizures can happen with no explanation whatsoever, or they can happen due conditions or certain events. Treatments for seizures include medication whose side effects include feeling tired, stomach upset or discomfort, dizziness, or blurred vision. More treatments are surgery, vagus nerve stimulation, responsive nerve stimulation, and deep brain stimulation.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. CBD can help reduce the amount of seizures in children and adults.

CBD is a cannabis component that relieves stress and anxiety and has anti-seizure properties. It does not produce a “high” like another cannabis component called tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Studies have found that on average, convulsive seizures decreased from nearly 13 seizures to about 6 seizures per month with cannabidiol.

Our AHS 3000mg full spectrum tincture can be taken sublingually and is perfect for helping to control seizures. CBD may help in seizure reduction and relief because it works as an anti-convulsant and protects the nervous system.

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.
