In a world fueled by energy drinks, espresso shots, and sugary lattes, green tea stands out as a cleaner, gentler source of stimulation. While many people turn to coffee for a caffeine boost, green tea offers a more balanced, health-supportive option that benefits the body beyond alertness.

How Green Tea Works in the Body

Green tea contains caffeine, but in lower doses than coffee. On average, an 8 oz cup of green tea has around 30–50 mg of caffeine, compared to 80–100 mg in coffee. This moderate caffeine level is enough to promote alertness without causing the jittery spike-and-crash that many coffee drinkers experience.

But green tea’s effects go beyond caffeine. It contains L-theanine, an amino acid that directly affects the brain. L-theanine promotes alpha brain wave activity, which is associated with a state of relaxed focus. When combined with caffeine, it creates a calm, sustained sense of alertness— something coffee can’t replicate. Instead of feeling wired, you feel focused.

Health Benefits That Go Beyond Energy
Green tea is rich in antioxidants, especially catechins like EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate). These compounds protect cells from oxidative stress and support overall cellular health. Studies suggest EGCG may help reduce inflammation, support heart health, and potentially reduce the risk of certain cancers.

Additional benefits include:

Improved metabolism: Green tea may support fat oxidation and improve metabolic rate, making it a popular choice for those managing weight.

Stable blood sugar: Unlike sugary energy drinks, green tea has no added sugar and may help regulate blood glucose levels.

Oral health: Catechins have antibacterial properties that can support gum health and reduce bad breath.

Brain protection: The combination of caffeine, L-theanine, and antioxidants supports cognitive function and may help protect the brain from age-related decline.

Why Green Tea Is a Better Caffeine Source

Caffeine tolerance builds quickly, and over-reliance on coffee often leads to dependency and energy crashes. Green tea avoids these extremes by delivering milder stimulation with added cognitive support and health benefits. It’s also easier on the digestive system, with less acidity than coffee.

In short, green tea provides:

Gentle, sustained energy

Mental clarity without overstimulation

Protective antioxidants and anti-inflammatory effects

A more balanced daily ritual

Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for a cleaner, smarter source of energy, green tea is worth the switch. It supports both focus and wellness, offering a steady rhythm rather than an unpredictable spike. The next time you reach for caffeine, consider trading your cup of coffee for a cup of green tea—your body and mind might thank you for it.

What is pericardial effusion?
Pericardial effusion is a medical disease where a sac-like structure called the pericardium – which supports the heart, continues to build fluid rapidly. A patient with Pericardial effusion could withhold 150- 200ml of fluid whilst the average healthy patient will only have about 15-50ml. In most cases the disease could be life-threatening as too much fluid causes cardiac arrest -or heart attack. If the build up of fluid happens too quickly the patient is at risk of heart failure. The fluid heavy sac disperses a large weight onto the heart causing it to have trouble working accordingly. Much of our light-headedness stems from low blood pressure, then shock where the body has finally reached its limit.

Symptoms To Watch For:

Sudden collapse

Very low blood pressure

Light-headedness

Chest pain or discomfort

Muffled heart sounds

Jugular vein distension

Shortness of breath, restlessness

Causes:
In most if not all cases Pericardial Effusion is caused by immune system malfunctions -or general body displacement.

1. Infections (viral, bacterial, or tuberculosis)

Viral infections (like coxsackievirus, HIV, or influenza) are the most common cause. They irritate the pericardium, leading to inflammation and fluid buildup.

Bacterial infections are less common but more severe — can cause purulent (pus-filled) effusions.

Tuberculosis (TB) can cause chronic effusions, especially in countries where TB is more common.

2. Inflammatory diseases (Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, etc.)

These are autoimmune diseases, where the immune system attacks the body’s own tissues — including the pericardium.

This leads to chronic inflammation, which can result in fluid buildup over time.

3. Cancer (Metastasis to the pericardium)

Certain cancers, like lung, breast, lymphoma, or leukemia, can spread to the pericardium.

Tumors cause irritation, leakage from blood vessels, or block lymph drainage — all leading to effusion..

These are often large and can be bloody (called hemorrhagic effusions).

4. Kidney failure (uremia)

When the kidneys fail, toxins build up in the blood (uremia).

These toxins irritate the pericardium, leading to what’s called uremic pericarditis, which can cause large effusions.

5. Heart surgery or trauma

Surgery near the heart can disturb the pericardium, leading to inflammation and fluid buildup.

Trauma (like a car accident or stab wound) can cause blood to collect in the pericardial sac — a dangerous condition called hemopericardium.

6. Medications or Radiation Therapy

Drugs like hydralazine, isoniazid, or some chemotherapy agents can cause drug-induced lupus or direct irritation.

Radiation to the chest (for cancer) can damage the pericardium, causing chronic inflammation and fluid accumulation.

How CBD will help!
CBD may help manage pericardial effusion, especially when it’s caused by inflammation or autoimmune conditions, through its anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects. It interacts with the endocannabinoid system, particularly CB2 receptors on immune cells, which can reduce the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines (small proteins released by certain cells in your body — especially immune cells — that act like messengers to help regulate the immune system and inflammation). This helps calm the inflammation around the pericardium, potentially slowing or preventing further fluid buildup. In autoimmune-related effusions (like those from lupus or rheumatoid arthritis), CBD may help regulate the immune system’s overactivity, reducing the attack on the heart lining.

More Benefits:

1. Relieves Chest Discomfort or Pain
– Acts on pain receptors and may ease inflammation-related chest pressure

2. Reduce Anxiety and Stress
– Helps calm the nervous system, which may be helpful for patients with chronic or cancer- related effusions

3. Improves Sleep and Rest
– Supports better sleep in patients dealing with chronic illness or discomfort

4. Potential Antioxidant Effects
– May protect heart tissues from oxidative stress during inflammation

Nerve damage, also known as neuropathy, can occur due to various factors. It happens when nerves are injured, inflamed, or degenerate, leading to pain, numbness, weakness, or other sensory issues. Some nerve injuries heal over time, while others are permanent. Treatments like physical therapy, medications, lifestyle changes, and even CBD may help manage symptoms.

Potential Benefits of CBD for Nerve Damage

1. Pain Relief – CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) to help regulate pain by affecting pain receptors.2. Anti-Inflammatory Effects – Nerve damage often involves inflammation, and CBD has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may help prevent further damage.
3. Neuroprotection – Some research indicates that CBD may protect nerves from damage and even promote nerve regeneration.
4. Reduced Tingling & Burning Sensations – Many people with neuropathy experience discomfort like tingling or burning pain, and CBD has been reported to help alleviate these symptoms.
5. Better Sleep & Reduced Anxiety – Chronic nerve pain can lead to sleep issues and anxiety, and CBD is known for its calming effects.

How to Use CBD for Nerve Damage

Topicals (creams, balms) – Applied directly to painful areas.

Oils/Tinctures – Placed under the tongue for fast absorption.

Capsules/Edibles – Longer-lasting effects but slower

Vaping – Quick relief, though not ideal for everyone.

Considerations & Risks

Dosage varies from person to person. Starting low and increasing gradually is recommended.

Side Effects can include drowsiness, dry mouth, or digestive issues.

Interactions – CBD may interact with medications, so consulting a doctor is important.

Regulation & Quality – Not all CBD products are equal. Look for third-party lab testing to ensure purity and potency.

Conclusion
CBD shows promise as a natural option for managing nerve damage symptoms, particularly in reducing pain, inflammation, and discomfort associated with neuropathy. Its ability to interact with the endocannabinoid system may help regulate pain perception, promote nerve health, and improve sleep and anxiety related to chronic nerve pain.

However, while many people report benefits, scientific research is still evolving, and CBD is not a guaranteed cure for nerve damage. Effectiveness varies depending on the cause and severity of neuropathy. It’s essential to choose high-quality CBD products, start with a low dose, and consult a healthcare professional, especially if taking other medications.

Whilst research is still developing, CBD shows promise in certain areas related to our

cardiac -or hearts. Cannabidiol – commonly known as CBD, is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and nonpsychoactive effects. Due to the fact that it interacts with CB2 receptors it can reduce the bodies sensory to pain without allowing for an elevation.

Potential Benefits of CBD for the heart:

Blood pressure Regulation – especially bodies under lots of stress
– CBD may help lower blood pressure, due to CBD’s ability to promote vasodilation (widening of blood vessels), which improves circulation.
– Though patients under the use of marijuana may see opposite effects as blood vessels become dilated and cause the heart to pump harder -this causes an increase of a heart attack.

Anti- inflammatory Properties – Chronic inflammation plays a significant role in heart disease
– By reducing these inflammatory markers, CBD may help slow down plaque buildup in arteries and protect heart function.
– The ECS (Endocannabinoid System (ECS) Modulation) plays a role in regulating inflammation in the cardiovascular system.

Antioxidant Effects
– Antioxidant effects refer to a substance’s ability to neutralize harmful molecules called free radicals, which cause oxidative stress. Oxidative stress plays a significant role in heart disease, inflammation, and vascular damage.
– Occurs when there is an imbalance between free radicals (unstable molecules that damage cells) and antioxidants (molecules that neutralize free radicals).
– CBD has been shown to reduce oxidative stress in endothelial cells, improving vascular function.

Potential Risks of CBD for the Heart

Interaction with Medications

– CBD can interact with blood thinners, blood pressure medications, and other cardiac drugs.
– It may enhance or inhibit the effects of these medications, leading to dangerous fluctuations in heart function.

Should You Use CBD for Heart Health?
– If you are considering CBD for cardiovascular benefits, speak with your healthcare provider to assess potential risks and benefits.
– Start with low doses and monitor how your body responds.
– Be cautious of CBD quality, as unregulated products may contain contaminants that could harm heart health.

In Conclusion….
While CBD shows promise in supporting cardiovascular health through its potential to lower blood pressure, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation, more clinical research is needed. It should not be used as a replacement for prescribed heart medications but may be a complementary approach under medical supervision.

A healthy solution recommends:
1500-3000 FS (full spectrum) tincture – 2x day
25-50mg FS CBD/CBG gummy – micro dosed

Make sure to consult with sales associates about all pharmaceutical medications before ingesting any products.

CBD products should be taken 2 hours after medication under no circumstances should this information be disregarded

CBC (Cannabichromene) is a lesser-known cannabinoid found in cannabis and hemp plants. Though not as widely studied as THC or CBD, CBC has shown promising potential for various health benefits. Here are some of the positive effects of CBC on human anatomy:

1. Anti-Inflammatory Properties

CBC interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS – balances body – creates homeostasis) to reduce inflammation without directly binding to CB1 or CB2 receptors.

It enhances the effects of other cannabinoids like CBD, potentially making it useful for treating conditions like arthritis, inflammatory diseases, and chronic pain.

2. Pain Relief (Analgesic Effects)

CBC has been found to influence pain perception by interacting with TRPV1 and TRPA1 receptors, which are involved in pain sensation, and body inflammation.

Its possible it helps chronic pain management without the psychoactive effects of THC or mushrooms.

3. Neuroprotective Benefits

Studies suggest that CBC may support brain health by promoting neurogenesis (the growth of new brain cells).

It helps protect against neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

4. Mood Enhancement & Anti-Depressant Effects

CBC interacts with serotonin receptors, which play a role in regulating mood.

Increasing Anandamide (“The Bliss Molecule”).

It may have antidepressant properties, making it a potential natural remedy for anxiety and depression. This could be beneficial for cognitive function, stress resilience, and mental health recovery.

5. Targets Executive Dysfunction

promotes metacognitive awareness, enabling clients to identify maladaptive thoughts and behaviors and replace them with more constructive strategies.

improves attention, time management, and emotional regulation in individuals with ADHD,contributing to improved daily functioning and long-term outcomes with consistency

6. Antibacterial & Antifungal Properties

Research has shown that CBC exhibits strong antibacterial effects against harmful bacteria, including antibiotic-resistant strains.

It also has antifungal properties, which may help in fighting infections.

7. Potential Anti-Cancer Properties

Preliminary studies suggest that CBC may inhibit tumor growth by promoting apoptosis (programmed cell death) in cancer cells.

It could work synergistically with other cannabinoids in cancer treatment.

In the USA alone, there are about 3 million cases of the common cold every year. This can happen to anyone and everyone, some more susceptible than others. In this article, we will discuss what the common cold is, what causes it, and how CBD can help you with recovery.

Common cold:

The common cold is usually caused by inflammation that occurs in a person’s nasal/upper respiratory tract or in the sinus. The common cold is an illness that affects your nose and throat. Most often, it’s harmless, though it does not feel that way. Although many viruses can cause a cold or flu, rhinoviruses are to blame the majority of the time.

Often, adults may have two or three colds each year. Infants and young children may have colds more often. Most often, you do not need medical help for a common cold. If symptoms don’t get better or if they get worse, it is recommended to see your health care provider. There is no known cure for colds, however, most cases go away within about two weeks when a person uses natural remedies to control symptoms.

Symptoms:

Most often, common cold symptoms begin within a few days after someone is exposed to a cold virus. Some of the symptoms can include; Runny or stuffy nose, Sore or scratchy throat, Cough, Sneezing, Generally feeling unwell, Slight body aches or a mild headache, Low-grade fever.

The mucus from your nose may begin to appear clear and become thicker and yellow or green (this change can be normal). Luckily, this generally doesn’t mean that you have a bacterial illness.

CBD:

CBD comes from the cannabis or hemp plant; this plant being most commonly known for producing THC. The difference is that with how CBD is extracted from the plant, with that it doesn’t have the part of the plant that can cause a psychoactive effect like THC. CBD as a compound is used for medicinal purposes, generally used for insomnia, pain, inflammation, anxiety, depression, stress, etc. CBD has natural antibacterial properties that can help combat secondary bacterial infections that may develop from the cold and flu. CBD is also an anti-inflammatory; it may help open up the sinus passages and increase the ease of breathing. CBD can help with reducing your overall inflammation in the body and allow your body to relax enough to get a better rest. There are a few risk factors to getting a cold: droplets in the air when someone who is sick coughs, sneezes or talks, hand-to-hand contact with someone who has a cold, sharing objects with the virus on them, such as dishes, towels, or telephones, touching your eyes, nose or mouth after contact with the virus, and according to a study, people with low-quality sleep are more prone to getting sick after being infected by rhinoviruses.

While CBD is not shown to cure colds, it can help ease the symptoms that occur during the infection. While the common cold is common, if your symptoms seem to be getting more intense or not getting better within a few days, we recommend speaking to a health care specialist as soon as possible.

Pneumonia can be very dangerous to have if you don’t treat it properly. It can be hard to know what to do or how to best treat something like this. What if there was more you can do than just antibiotics? While it is recommended to use those during said infection, there are compounds you can add to your health care to help with recovery. Currently, Covid-19 has been linked to pneumonia after the initial infection. The pneumonia itself can be considered an after effect of Covid, though this is not the case for everyone. Let’s look into what pneumonia and CBD are and how CBD can help you when you’re sick.

Let’s start with pneumonia itself. Pneumonia is an infection in the lungs that can cause one or both lungs to be inflamed and fill up with fluid. With pneumonia, the air sacs may fill with fluid or pus. The infection can be life-threatening to anyone, but particularly to infants, children, and people over 65. Symptoms may consist of coughing with phlegm or pus, fever, chills, and difficulty breathing. Antibiotics can treat many forms of pneumonia. Some forms of pneumonia can be prevented by vaccines.

But how does CBD tie into this?

CBD is a non-psychoactive product, meaning that it does not give you a high or any of the mind-altering effects of THC (also known as tetrahydrocannabinol). There are different CBD products that work better for different conditions, but they truly do help make a difference for whatever condition that you may have. Along with the different conditions it can help, it also comes in different forms. There are gummies/edibles, oils and tinctures, creams and lotions, capsules/pills, and even vapes! Early studies have found that CBD may be a potential alternative to traditional medications for treating anxiety and depression. CBD is able to help due to being able to sooth irritated lungs. This is due to CBD’s anti- inflammatory properties, it also is able to reduce the pain signals that are sent to your brain, thus helping to reduce overall discomfort. When it comes to inflammation, CBD does wonders internally and externally. There have been many studies done that proved that CBD can help with lung functionality. An example of this is with asthma. CBD oil also acts as a bronchodilator which may benefit those with asthma symptoms by dilating the respiratory airways. In addition to its anti-inflammatory properties, CBD may also decrease hyperresponsiveness in your respiratory airway by reducing sensitivity to triggers that may cause an asthma attack.

One way CBD appears to reduce the “cytokine storm” that damages the lungs and kills many patients with COVID-19 is by enabling an increase in levels of a natural peptide called apelin. Apelin is known to reduce inflammation. There have been researchers who have reported that CBD’s ability to improve oxygen levels and reduce inflammation as well as physical lung damage in their laboratory model of deadly adult respiratory distress syndrome. Now they have shown that apelin levels go way down with the viral infection, which has killed 1 million people worldwide, and that CBD quickly helps normalize those levels along with lung function. Apelin is a pervasive peptide made by cells in the heart, lung, brain, fat tissue and blood, and is an important regulator in bringing both blood pressure and inflammation down. When our blood pressure gets high, for example, apelin levels should go up in the right place, like endothelial cells that line blood vessels, to help bring it down. Apelin should do the same to help normalize the significant increases in inflammation in the lungs and related breathing difficulties associated with deadly adult respiratory distress syndrome With CBD, it can make your recovery process much easier. Always consult your doctor before trying any new treatments. At AHS, we have specialists and a nurse on staff who can help answer any CBD questions you may have.

Aches and pains happen to us all of the time. Sometimes it can be mild and other times it can feel unbearable. Either way, you shouldn’t have to be content with pain if you don’t have to. As our cream flyer says, “Life shouldn’t be a pain.” There are many ways to help relieve these aches as well, most people using pain killers or some type of medical cream. What if you want to try something more natural that isn’t an over the counter or prescribed medication? At AHS, we have potential solutions for you that can help with all of your aches and pains! Today we will be focusing on topical pains and what we can do to help you.

Let’s start with what CBD is. CBD, or Cannabidiol, is one of the many active compounds found in the cannabis plant. Luckily, CBD is non-psychoactive and has many of the same medical benefits as Tetrahydrocannabinol (aka THC), another active and more well-known compound thanks to its psychoactive properties. This compound being the one that gets you “high.” CBD allows you to take advantage of the healing benefits without leaving you with the inebriated feeling that often goes hand in hand with THC. There has also been research that has shown that CBD is a very powerful painkiller and has anti-inflammatory properties that help make internal and external pain much more
manageable. What’s also nice about this compound is that it is not addictive and very safe for you to take. Even if you take too much, at worst you will have a headache or diarrhea. Though when taking CBD for topical pain, those symptoms do not usually occur.

So why should I use CBD cream? What makes it so special is that with its anti-inflammatory properties, it can reduce the symptoms you may be experiencing on your skin. It can go through about four layers of skin to improve deeper pain you may be experiencing. CBD cream evades the CB1 and CB2 receptors and heads straight for a neurotransmitter middleman that blocks signals for pain and itch by working through agents called anandamide and 2-AG. Sidestepping the CB1 and CB2 receptors means that CBD can mute pain without the high sensation delivered by THC. CBD can significantly reduce intense pain, sharp pain, itchy sensations, and cold. Other research also suggests that topical CBD may be useful for treating joint and muscle pain associated with other conditions, such as migraines. Topical CBD may also benefit certain skin disorders. CBD cream has been shown to help with cases such as eczema and arthritis. Depending on what level of pain you may be having, we will surly have something that can help with your needs.

At AHS, we have two different creams that can help you with different levels of pain. We use a 1-10 scale to represent pain, for example, 1 would be the lightest amount of pain while 10 would be considered some of the worst pain you can experience. We have two different creams to accommodate both levels of pain. We have our 1500mg cream that would be good for pain that is a 5 or lower, and our 2500mg cream that is for 6 and higher levels of pain. Luckily, it’s very easy to apply to the skin as well! Our creams come with little spatulas that can help you scoop up a tiny bit of cream, a little bit can go a long way! You just apply a little bit to your affected area, and it will help elevate the pain within half an hour to an hour, depending on the person. Always be careful where you put the cream though, never put it near your eyes or near more sensitive areas of your body (such as genitalia.) Our 2500mg cream does contain menthol in it, so be warned if you either have an allergy or are sensitive to this ingredient. At AHS, we have many specialists and a nurse on staff who can answer any additional questions about CBD or how to take it if you are on any medications.

CBD has many different forms, there are gummies, tinctures, capsules, patches, creams, and more. One of the more popular forms of consumption is usually the tincture, which is a form of CBD oil. CBD tinctures are generally made from high CBD strains of hemp, with 60 to 70 percent alcohol, and are primarily used to help relieve anxiety or ease pain. Tinctures are convenient, have a long shelf life, and are absorbed easily when taken under the tongue. There are three different formulas that are used, full spectrum, broad spectrum, and isolate. Each formula has their own benefits to them, but what may these be? What makes each of them so unique? Let’s take a look at CBD and each compound and see what they are.

CBD, also known as Cannabidiol, is a chemical compound found in the cannabis or hemp plant. There’s also the more well-known chemical THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) in the same plant which causes a psychoactive effect. Unlike THC, CBD does not cause these effects, but instead reduces overall anxiety, stress, and has anti-inflammatory properties. All of these put together can help put the body into a
better state of being.

Now, let’s start with the Isolate. An isolate is the purest form of CBD that has the added benefit of terpenes in it. Terpenes are naturally occurring chemical compounds found in plants and some animals. They’re responsible for the aromas, flavors, and even colors associated with various types of plant life. In terms of cannabis, terpenes are what make certain strains smell or taste different from others. Generally, the CBD isolate comes in a white powdery form that contains 99% pure CBD. A traditional extraction process removes all the active compounds from the cannabis plant. Then, a refining process that stripes away all other phytocannabinoids, including THC, and any other plant matter. What remains is the CBD chemical compounds in its purest form. The isolate has 0% THC and has a quick absorption rate. This compound works well for 7/10 pain, anxiety, insomnia, etc.

Next, let’s discuss the Full Spectrum. A full spectrum compound has some unique qualities. It has increased effectiveness due to the different cannabinoids working synergistically. For AHS, our full spectrum products contain the legal limits for THC, which is 0.3%. With this, you get the continued benefits of the product without the psychoactive effects. Usually, these products would be used for chronic pains leveling to 9/10 and severe issues within the body. Because of the benefits of the entire plant, full-spectrum CBD products are priced higher than their broad-spectrum counterparts or CBD isolate. It’s also more challenging for manufacturers to maintain consistent ratios when using a full-
spectrum extract — again raising the overall cost of these oils. Unfortunately, if you take a drug test while taking a full spectrum product, it will show up on that test, so be warned.

And finally, the Broad Spectrum. A broad spectrum product is usually the way to go. It combines both isolate and a full spectrum to amplify the benefits, all without any form of THC. It has a quick absorption rate and is a good choice for someone who gets drug tested and doesn’t want anything to show up. It is also great for acute/chronic pains, anxiety, and insomnia that are about an 8/10. What’s even better about this compound is that you’re getting additional benefits from the plant, such as cannabinoids and terpenes. Also, many users believe that full- and broad-spectrum CBD products have a greater effect than CBD isolates. This is due to the “entourage effect,” which is said to allow other plant compounds to work together and potentially alter or enhance the medicinal effects of the CBD. In other words, having the presence of multiple compounds (not just CBD) actually bolsters the therapeutic value.

At the end of the day, each one of these compounds have amazing effects that can help with different conditions. Whatever you may need, one of these compounds may be a good fit for you! Always consult a health care professional before trying CBD. We provide free consultations and have a nurse on staff if you have any questions about your care or CBD.

Many of us have what can be considered our “beauty procedures.” It can be anything from strict skin care routines with different serums and toners to washing our faces with specific soaps and water. Or it can be taking care of your hair and nails with specific processes, such as a
manicure/pedicure or treating your hair to a healthy trim. Maybe even a nice trip to the spa to relax your body and refresh yourself! However you may go about it, there are always ways to improve our personal care in our day-to-day routines. One way could be incorporating CBD,
whether that be topically or internally. How can this make improvements you may ask? Well, let’s go over what CBD is and how to can help the body.

Cannabidiol, more commonly known as CBD, is a non-psychoactive chemical that comes from the cannabis plant that holds many medicinal properties. It can be used either topically or internally, depending on what you’re using it for. There are different CBD products that work
better for different conditions, such as stress/anxiety and topical pains. Along with the different conditions it can help, it also comes in different forms. There are gummies/edibles, oils (or tinctures), creams and lotions, capsules or pills, and even vapes! Early studies have found that CBD may be a potential alternative to traditional medications for treating anxiety and depression. Now that cannabis is legal in most of the U.S. (medical marijuana in 33 states and recreational cannabis in 10 states, plus Washington D.C.), more people have had a chance to experience the plant in a whole new way.

What’s nice about CBD in the beauty world is that it can really help with facial care. Because of how this cannabinoid has anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain killing) properties, it can help with dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, etc. CBD is also ‘sebostatic’ meaning it can help to regulate the skin’s oil production. This is why this ingredient has been showing up in a lot more body lotions, face creams, and serums. For example, if you had acne prone skin, the CBD component can highly improve the inflammation of the skin and reduce pain. CBD offers different benefits depending on the treatment. Another example being CBD being used during massage to aid deep relaxation and hypertension release. There are even facial treatments, which are excellent for calming irritated skin.

At AHS, we have a few different products to try for your beauty regimens. Such as our Kuraitv 500mg 4pk Bath Bomb, these will help you unwind add a little extra relaxation into your evening. Another being our Kurativ 50mg CBD Lip Balm, this product can improve your lip care and can give you a little dose of stress relief throughout your day. We also carry gummies to help with internal care! An example being our SoCal Peach Rings, these can help relieve immediate stress and anxiety on an as needed basis, they also give a wonderful flavor to add to
the stress relief.

Always consult a health care professional before trying CBD. We provide free consultations and have a nurse on staff if you have any questions.
