Delta-9 Seltzers and why they’re a good choice!

Many people like to drink alcohol to relax, or smoke/eat forms of Delta products to relax as well. But what if you want an option that mixes both avenues without the hangover or extreme paranoia? In today’s article, we will discuss the topic of Delta-9 drinks, and how they can be a
new alternative to regular drinking.

Delta-9, What is it?
Delta-9 is a cannabinoid found naturally in the cannabis plant, being the more potent cannabinoids in the plant. For this reason, it is much easier and cheaper to extract it naturally. Even with some of the misconceptions of this compound, Delta-9 has been associated with a wide range of potential medical benefits. Such as anxiety, glaucoma, insomnia, low appetite, muscle spasticity, obstructive sleep apnea, nausea, & pain. Some manufacturers offer delta-9 products as a means of preventing symptoms of certain medical conditions or diseases. However, the FDA has approved only two synthetic THC formulations (dronabinol and nabilone), which are used to alleviate chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. Nabilone is also used to increase appetite in patients with AIDS.

What could be some side effects?
Depending on several factors, including the amount and quality of delta-9 consumed, some side effects may include: Paranoia, heightened anxiety, sedation, confusion, dry mouth, feeling uneasy, unhappy or dissatisfied (dysphoria), & low blood pressure (hypotension). Even with this, when taken in smaller doses, can be very beneficial for your health.

So why try Delta-9 as a drink?
Delta 9 drinks have also recently become quite popular. They are a fun and convenient way to consume this cannabinoid and get its benefits. And in a way that some seem to feel makes it a more comfortable experience. According to research done on the product, it’s been shown that
consuming Delta-9 in a drink instead of a gummy makes it a more “mild experience”. This means that it is not as intense as if you’d consume it in a gummy. This happens due to the lack of 11 Hydroxy in the product. This also can mean that you are much less likely to experience
some of the side effects that can be associated with Delta-9. And with that, it’s also been shown that you can feel the effects faster, and then wear off faster. So, you don’t have to feel buzzed longer than you want to be. What makes this nice as well is that you won’t have that hangover feeling the next day, but still be able to have your mild buzz.

However you choose to consume Delta-9, or any other product, we always recommend doing your own research and consulting a health care professional if you have any questions or concerns. At AHS, we offer a wide variety of Delta-9, Kava, and alcohol free drinks so you can
explore more alternatives for yourself or a loved one.

We all get aches and pains; some people get it more often than others. But what do you do when that pain lasts longer than expected? Usually we take prescription medication, which can be what you need sometimes. But what if you are tired of the prescriptions or have been on them for what feels like forever? Well today, we are going to take a look at CBG and how it can help alleviate pain in your body. But before going into that, let us take a quick dive into what CBG is exactly.

Cannabigerol, or CBG, is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid typically most abundant in low-THC and high- CBD cannabis strains, including hemp. Like THC, CBG reacts with the cannabinoid receptors in the brain. CBG is the inspiration for other cannabinoids. While CBD has a relatively low affinity for cannabinoid receptors and interacts mostly with the endocannabinoid system on an indirect basis, CBG is thought to interact directly with the brain’s CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors. CBG works to fight inflammation, pain, nausea and works to slow the proliferation of cancer cells. CBG has been called ‘inactive’ when compared to THC, but it has slight similarity for CB1 receptors, approximately equal to that of CBD. Like CBD, it has painkilling and anti-inflammatory properties, indicating that there is scope for developing cannabinoid drugs that do not have the psychoactive properties of THC. Strains high in CBG will be beneficial treating conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, multiple sclerosis, and Crohn’s disease. For Multiple Sclerosis, a 2014 study in mice said that CBG “has been shown to alleviate symptoms in a viral model of multiple sclerosis.” Remarkably, one of the few medical drugs that contains cannabinoids was approved as a treatment for neuropathic pain in patients with multiple sclerosis.

Now that we have a better idea of CBG, let’s examine how it can help with reducing pain. Inflammation is regularly a contributor or a symptom, and where there’s inflammation, there’s pain and other health problems. The most fascinating aspect of CBG is that it is a powerful anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and neuroprotectant. Amazingly, according to research, CBG has shown the ability to regulate the release of GABA –– a neurotransmitter that helps calm pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and panic disorders. In fact, CBG regulates GABA far greater than THC and CBD do, and scientists suggest that it may be used as a muscle relaxant for people with spasms. Though, as well as CBG can work, it, like many other cannabinoids, work best when paired with CBD. Like CBD, CBG is completely non-psychoactive. So, it will not get you “high,” but will rather offer your body a much more calming effect.

There is no denying that high-quality CBG products, especially when combined with quality CBD, may be the answer you’re seeking. As with any natural supplement, CBG and CBD are not “cure-all” molecules, and should not be used to diagnose, treat, or cure health conditions and diseases. So, we understand why you may be hesitant to try it because of that, but it’s at least worth trying if you want to get off prescription medications and want to try a more natural solution.

Within the United States, approximately 5.7 million people are living with dementia. Alzheimer’s disease accounts for approximately 60%–70% of these cases, followed by vascular dementias.

Dementia is a group of conditions characterized by impairment of at least two brain functions, such as memory loss and judgment. Dementia is characterized by forgetfulness, limited social skills, and thinking abilities so impaired that it interferes with daily functioning.

Treatment for dementia includes rehabilitation therapy, occupational therapy, and prescribed medications. Medications used to treat dementia include Memantine, Rivastigmine, Galantamine, and Donepezil. Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include dizziness, confusion, headache, constipation, cough, high blood pressure, backache, fainting, vomiting, shortness of breath, fatigue, kidney failure, brain blockage, stroke, liver failure, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, tremors, insomnia, depression, mood swings, hallucinations and skin rash.

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. Studies show that CBD may help improve dementia without the negative side effects of prescribed medications.

According to researchers at California’s Salk Institute, their 2017 study has found evidence that cannabinoids such as CBD could potentially help remove dementia from, and increase connections between, brain cells. There are three ways CBD may help to improve health outcomes for people with dementia.

CBD may help reduce inflammation, reduce oxygen buildup, and act as a brain stimulant and neuroprotectant. CBD may also reduce stress and anxiety in the individual with dementia as well as reduce the decline of memory and other brain functions.

Our AHS 3000mg Supreme Blend Tincture can be taken sublingually along with a Vici Scatter Brain patch that can be applied topically to help improve dementia.

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

Like humans and dogs, the feline anatomy is equipped with an endocannabinoid system (ECS). Because of this, cats can experience a variety of health benefits from cannabinoids like Cannabidiol (CBD).

The ECS is a network of receptors found throughout the central nervous system and other biological systems that can interact with cannabinoids like CBD.By influencing these receptors with its anti-inflammatory and antipsychotic properties, studies have shown that CBD can help maintain and improve their functionality, thereby improving the integrity of the systems they regulate.

This interaction is what allows CBD to deliver numerous benefits to cats, such as pain relief, stress management, reduced aggression and more. It was previously believed that dogs had a higher chance of experiencing arthritis. However, recent studies have shown that cats get arthritis just as frequently as dogs, with higher chances in older cats.

This can lead to decreased mobility, constant pain, lack of energy, and all sorts of other symptoms that can make life unpleasant. While age is inevitable, CBD may help improve the situation. Packed with powerful anti-inflammatory properties, CBD may help reduce inflammation, while mitigating the spread of further inflammation. In addition, researchers have found that CBD may decrease the perceived level of pain by activating and desensitizing the brain’s vanilloid receptor. Like us,cats can experience stress and anxiety at varying levels along with many of the same unpleasant symptoms we experience.

Common stressors for cats include changes to their environment, conflicts with other cats, poor human-cat relationships, and health problems. Prolonged stress can lead to declined health, poor grooming habits, behavioral issues, poor eating habits, and many other issues.

Studies have shown that CBD may help alleviate stress and anxiety by moderating cortisol (the stress hormone) and influencing receptors in the brain responsible for mood regulation and moderating neurological activity. By doing so, CBD has shown to help reduce stress levels while improving how the brain responds to stress signals.A regular eating habit is also important for cat health.

A decreased appetite in cats can be caused by a variety of different things, including dental problems, mood-related disorders, and numerous health conditions. While the issue may vary, CBD may help stimulate your cat’s appetite and can provide relief for some of the possible issues.

Poor attitude can be a serious problem caused by low levels of energy, unbalanced hormones, or other deeper issues. By alleviating issues that are possibly at the root of the problem CBD may help improve your cat’s mood-related disorders. In addition, CBD can work synergistically to maintain homeostasis (balance) in the body by interacting with receptors in the brain that are responsible for regulating mood levels and moderating hormone production. With the ability to provide natural relief for numerous conditions, CBD may improve your cat’s overall quality of life and keep them healthier longer.

Our Bailey’s 100mg CBD Cat Tincture Oil can be given to your feline companion by mouth or mixed into food to help alleviate pain, inflammation, anxiety, poor eating habits, aggression and more.

Always consult your Veterinarian before starting your furry friend on a new treatment.

Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.

Terpenes are organic compounds that provide aroma and flavor in cannabis.

Terpenes are formed inside cannabis trichomes, and their relative presence is directly affected by both the spectrum and intensity of light exposure. Over 100 different terpenes have been identified in the cannabis plant, and every strain tends toward a unique terpene type and composition. For example, a strain like Blueberry and its offspring will likely give off a berry smell.

Terpenes are popular in aromatherapy circles for providing holistic, natural healing. Terpenes may also play a key role in differentiating the effects of various cannabis strains by interacting with cannabinoids.

Some terpenes combat anxiety, pain, inflammation, insomnia, bacterial infections, and respiratory conditions, while others potentially boost mood and promote focus. One of the advantages of using terpenes in CBD is that you get a more predictable experience.

Using terpenes lets you know what effects you can likely expect from the product. CBD oil with terpenes is also beneficial due to the entourage effect.

The entourage effect is a term that refers to the synergistic behavior of cannabinoids. Which means, cannabinoids work together to produce a heightened, more beneficial effect on the body. Many users prefer full-spectrum CBD products for this reason.

When you use a full-spectrum CBD product, you get to make use of the benefits from CBD, other cannabinoids, and terpenes. The effect is thought to be stronger than what you get from a CBD isolate. Overall terpenes provide an extra boost to your cannabidiol, helping the body to make use of a daily supplement better. Come by and check out some of our full-spectrum CBD products!

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

CBG is one of more than 100 cannabinoids native to the cannabis plant. Cannabinoids are a unique class of active chemical compounds that act on receptors in our cells and alter the release of neurotransmitters in the brain. Cannabigerol, or CBG, can be found in small amounts in both hemp and marijuana.

It is considered a minor cannabinoid because in most cannabis strains it is found in low concentrations, usually less than 1 percent in marijuana and less than 2 percent in hemp. CBG was first discovered and isolated by Israeli scientists Yehiel Gaoni and Ralph Mechoulam in 1964. Years later, Japanese researchers figured out that CBG starts out as CBGA, or cannabigerolic acid, and over time or when exposed to heat is synthesized into an active cannabinoid.

CBG is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid, meaning that when consumed it will not cause any type of euphoric or psycho-active effects like THC. In fact, some early evidence suggests that CBG may be able to suppress THC’s intoxicating effects. Like other cannabinoids, CBG influences the body and its functions by interacting with the endocannabinoid system (ECS).

The ECS is a complex signaling network responsible for keeping many of the body’s functions in balance. When you consume cannabis, the body absorbs CBG as well as the other cannabinoids present. CBG and other cannabinoids have a similar chemical makeup to the body’s naturally synthesized endocannabinoids, allowing them to interact with the endocannabinoid system’s cannabinoid receptors.

Cannabis breeders have started to experiment with genetic manipulation and plant crossbreeding to try and obtain higher yields of CBG. Scientists have found that they can extract higher levels of CBG from budding plants in the form of a CBG oil about six weeks into the eight-week flowering cycle, when CBG levels are highest because it has yet to be converted into other compounds.

Scientists also believe that CBG binds to certain endocannabinoid receptors in the brain that mitigate anxiety and pain. CBG has shown to stimulate bone growth, act as an antibacterial, anti-tumor and combat insomnia. Studies show that CBG may help alleviate inflammation, pain, nausea, proliferation of cancer cells and may significantly reduce intraocular eye pressure caused by glaucoma.

Come by A Healthy Solution Wellness Boutique and check out our new CBG products! Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

According to Centers for Disease control, autism affects an estimated 1 in 59 children in the United States today. Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disorder that is characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication.

Treatment for autism include different types of therapy, such as behavioral therapy, speech therapy, sensory therapy, anger management and occupational therapy. Antipsychotic medications are also prescribed to treat autism, such as Risperidone and Quetiapine.

Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include headaches, drowsiness, tremors, anxiety, depression, diarrhea, vomiting, weight gain, flu symptoms and weakness. CBD is a non-psychoactive chemical compound derived from the hemp plant that is known for its potential therapeutic effects. Studies show that CBD may help improve symptoms of autism without the negative side effects of prescribed medications. We all have an endocannabinoid system (ECS) that receives signals from cannabinoids that enter the body.

The ECS moves up to the neurons and attaches to the cannabinoid receptors of the neuron that will send a “message”. Once there, the cannabinoids control what happens the next time the neurons activate and can effectively change what happens to the body and mind. Endocannabinoids can help regulate hunger, anxiety, neuronal excitability, protection, and pain, among other things.

Those who use CBD to help with autism believe that it can help bring order to the brain. It is well known that individuals with autism struggle with focus and attention, and CBD may help alter their spectrum of attention.

CBD is known for its neuroprotective, anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Research shows a decline in aggressive behavior, a significant decrease in seizures, and improved speech in those with ASD after CBD use. Some accounts include children who did not speak before treatment who achieved significant results in a short period of time after their first dose of CBD oil.

Our AHS 1500mg tincture can be taken sublingually and is perfect for improving symptoms of autism. Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.

Approximately 10 million people in the United States are affected by TMJ and the condition appears to be more common in women than men. Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) is characterize by pain and compromised movement of the jaw joint and the surrounding muscles.

TMJ is caused by teeth clenching, grinding, habitual gum chewing, misaligned teeth or trauma. Treatment for TMJ include physical therapy, bite guards and prescribed medications. Medications used to treat Temporomandibular joint disorder include Naproxen, Acetaminophen, Doxepin, Metaxalone and Diazepam.

Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, bruising, skin rash, swelling, ringing in the ears, loss of appetite, blurred vision, anemia, muscle weakness and tremors. CBD is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects.

Studies show that CBD may help alleviate symptoms of TMJ without the negative side effects of prescribed medications. The endocannabinoid system is a network in the body composed of cannabinoids, which are cell receptors that primarily impact a person’s brain and central nervous system.

Endocannabinoids are chemical messengers that help maintain balance in your body. So, when you have an issue such as TMJ that’s marked by an increased pain and inflammation response, there may be some irregularities present in the endocannabinoid system that need to be adjusted.

Fortunately, CBD is an option that can help get your endocannabinoids back on track to promote a sense of relief. CBD’s anti-inflammatory effects suggest it could help relieve pain, and its anti-anxiety potential may help reduce jaw clenching, which can worsen TMJ.

Our AHS 1500mg CBD Tincture can be taken sublingually along with our AHS CBD custom cream that can be applied topically to help alleviate symptoms of Temporomandibular joint disorder. Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and answer any questions regarding CBD.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) affects approximately 3.5 percent of U.S. adults and women are twice as likely as men to have PTSD. An estimated one in 11 people will be diagnosed with the disorder in their lifetime. Post-traumatic stress disorder is a condition of persistent mental and emotional stress caused by injury or severe psychological shock.

PTSD is characterized by disturbance of sleep, constant vivid recall of the traumatic experience and dulled responses to others and the outside world. Treatment for PTSD includes different types of trauma-focused psychotherapy like cognitive behavioral therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, as well as prescribed medications. Medications used to treat PTSD include Sertraline, Fluoxetine and Paroxetine.

Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include drowsiness, insomnia, indigestion, nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, sweating, tremors, headache, vision changes, anxiety, pain, weakness, flu symptoms and sexual problems.

CBD may help alleviate symptoms for those suffering with PTSD by improving the endocannabinoid system’s (ECS) mediation of essential functions including memory consolidation and retrieval. By activating CB1 and CB2 receptors located throughout this core system, cannabinoids may prompt the system to produce neurotransmitters that helps promote happiness, pleasure and memory.

These cannabinoids play a critical role in assisting PTSD cases by preventing the retrieval of the underlying trauma, which helps in preventing traumatic memories and nightmares, while also helping attain emotional wellbeing without the negative side effects of prescribed medications.

Our AHS 1500mg tincture can be taken sublingually and is perfect for improving symptoms of PTSD. Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.
