Today anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the United States affecting around 40 million adults, almost 1 in 5 people. Anxiety is your body’s natural response to stress. It’s a feeling of intense, excessive, and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations.

Anxiety is characterized by fast heart rate, rapid breathing and sweating. A Panic attack is the abrupt onset of intense fear or discomfort that reaches a peak within minutes. Panic attacks are characterized by palpitations, fast heart rate, sweating, trembling or shaking and shortness of breath or smothering. Treatment for anxiety and panic attacks include psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and prescribed medications.

Medications used to treat anxiety and panic attacks include Sertraline, Escitalopram, Fluoxetine, Buspirone, Venlafaxine, Duloxetine, Diazepam, Lorazepam, Pregabalin, Alprazolam and Clonazepam. Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include dizziness, insomnia, nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, sweating, tremors, sexual problems, headaches, constipation, vison changes, anxiety, weakness, vomiting, depression, hallucinations, aggression and skin rash.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. Studies show that CBD may be effective in alleviating anxiety and could help prevent panic attacks without the negative side effects of prescribed medications.

Researchers concluded that endocannabinoids influence stress and emotion responses, because there are cannabinoid receptors in the brain. Studies currently suggest that CBD counters anxiety by stimulating neurotransmitter systems and neural regeneration. CBD specifically binds to 5-HT1A which is thought to have the strongest role in anxiety disorders.

Your body naturally produces cannabinoids, which are used throughout your body and brain in the endocannabinoid system (ECS). This system can become dysregulated under chronic stress. However, CBD could help restore balance to the ECS by preventing over stimulation of your CB1 receptors and by boosting your body’s production of endocannabinoids.

CBD may also help to counterbalance the brain damage caused by chronic stress. Numerous studies have proved that CBD encourages neural regeneration, particularly in the hippocampus. In fact, its ability to reduce anxiety in those who are chronically stressed comes from CBD’s power to simulate the growth of new neurons.

There are a few products that could help alleviate anxiety and prevent or ease panic attacks. Our 500mg CBD Vape can be inhaled for immediate relief.

300mg CBD infused Gummies can be taken along with 100mg CBD topical patches that can be applied to the middle of your chest to alleviate anxiety and panic attacks.

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment. Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.

According to the National Survey on Drug Use & Health, nearly 2 percent of Americans ages 12 and older have some sort of marijuana dependence and people who use marijuana before age 18 are 4 to 7 times more likely to develop this addiction than adults. Marijuana addiction is when a person feels withdrawal symptoms when not taking the drug.

People with marijuana dependence often report irritability, mooddifficulties, decreased appetite, insomnia, headaches, sweating, chills, anxiety and depression that peak within the first week after quitting and last up to 2 weeks.

Marijuana dependence occurs when the brain adapts to large amounts of the drug by reducing production of and sensitivity to its own endocannabinoid neurotransmitters. When marijuana is smoked, THC passes rapidly from the lungs into the bloodstream, which carries the substance to the brain and other organs throughout the body.

THC acts specifically on the brain cell’s cannabinoid receptors. These receptors are part of the neural communication network, called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which plays an important role in normal brain development and function. The highest density of cannabinoid receptors is found in parts of the brain that influence pleasure, memory, thinking, concentration, sensory, time perception, and coordinated movement.

Marijuana over-activates the ECS, causing the “high” and other effects that users experience, such as altered perceptions, altered mood, impaired coordination, difficulty thinking, difficulty problem solving, disrupted learning, memory issues and appetite changes. Marijuana use is associated with a range of health issues, particularly related to heart problems, lung problems and mental health conditions.

Frequent smokers can experience issues, such as daily cough, phlegm production, lung infections, damage to the immune system, damage to brain cells, damage to the central nervous system, fertility issues, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, depression, anxiety, personality disturbancesand lack of motivation.Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects.According to research CBD may alleviate the symptoms of marijuana withdrawals to help detoxing run smoothly.

CBD has shown promise in decreasing anxiety, improving sleep, improving cognitive function and having neuroprotective effects which may reverse some of the cognitive deficits associated with marijuana dependence. The mechanism of action for CBD has shown to be antagonistic to the psychoactive properties of THC in many locations within the central nervous system.

Such action suggests that it might be beneficial to use CBD to alleviate withdrawals of marijuana addiction. There are many CBD products that can help alleviate marijuana withdrawals. A 1500mg, 2000mg or 3000mg tincture can be taken sublingually to help with depression, headaches and insomnia.

Our AHS 1500mg or 2500mg custom cream can be applied topically to help with headaches and insomnia. 300mg CBD infused gummies and 1000mg CBD vape would work great for reducing anxiety and insomnia.

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment. Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and answer any questions regarding CBD.

There are approximately 50 million people in America who are addicted to some type of nicotine product, including cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco and nicotine vape. Nicotine addiction is the most common addiction in America.

According to statistics, more than 1 billion of the world’s population are smokers with a case of death occurring every 6 seconds due to nicotine related issues.

The effects of and addiction to smoking are manifested in the brain through the pleasure principle. Within seconds of smoking or vaping nicotine, the drug travels to the brain and activates the receptors to release the pleasure hormone, dopamine. Dopamine produces a calm and happy sensation, reducing stress and anxiety levels. It doesn’t take long for the brain to start associating pleasure with the memory of nicotine intake, but these sensations are short-lived.

During this process, the number of nicotinic receptors in the brain increase, progressively requiring higher amounts of nicotine to get the same effect. This is known as tolerance after which addiction shortly follows.Withdrawal happens when the body cleanses itself of the drug, and the stress and anxiety return making you crave another smoke. If the addiction is strong, you may feel restless, irritable, depressed, and anxious. This is known as withdrawal syndrome.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive compound known for its potential therapeutic effects.According to research CBD may alleviate the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal to help detoxing run smoothly. CBD acts as apotential aid in managing depressionby activating the brain’s 5-HT1A receptor, which boosts the availability of serotonin in a similar way to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressants.

CBD may also help reduce the stress, anxiety, and irritability associated with attempts to quit nicotine. More than just elevating mood, CBD may help reduce some of the physical symptoms of quitting nicotine. Studies show that CBD may be able to reduce the headaches and other pains experienced when giving up nicotine because of its anti-inflammatory properties.

People who find it difficult to go to sleep at night without nicotine may find it easier to fall asleep with CBD. CBD has been found to help people reach and maintain restful, restorative sleep without the unwanted effects often associated with prescription sleep aids. For those who need nicotine to get moving in the morning, you’ll be relieved to hear that CBD, when taken in small doses, may havean energizing effect.

There are many CBD products that can help alleviate nicotine withdrawals. A 1500mg, 2000mg or 3000mg tincture can be taken sublingually to help with depression, headaches and insomnia.

The topic of CBD has increased over the years. We know CBD is used for alleviating symptoms such as chronic pain, inflammation, anxiety, insomnia and many other symptoms. There is so much to learn about CBD but one fact many don’t know is, CBD is very much safe for children.

CBD is non-psychoactive, it does not get users high, it’s nonaddictive, and it has a low risk of side effects—which makes it completely safe for children.

Cannabinoids and endocannabinoids occur naturally in the body, and children are exposed to external cannabinoids quite frequently. In fact, human breast milk is an abundant source of endocannabinoids, which assist with infant development. Now you are probably wondering why children might need to use CBD?

Studies show that CBD is an extremely potent anticonvulsant and can help manage severe forms of childhood epilepsy and ADD/ADHD.

Anti-seizure medications for example, can produce drowsiness, fatigue, behavioral changes, and more. ADD/ADHD medications on the other hand can cause nervousness, agitation, anxiety, sleep problems, nausea, vomiting, and other side effects.

It’s not uncommon for some children dealing with these conditions to use multiple medications at a time, usually to manage the side effects of another medication they may be taking. CBD on the other hand serves as a natural alternative with no side effects and does not cause long term complications.

CBD is also capable in alleviating less serious conditions, not to mention it’s a great supplement to keep your child in good health in a natural way. If you’re giving CBD oil to your child for general supplementation purposes, you can expect the following benefits such as improved focus, better memory, higher alertness, better quality of sleep and boosted immune function.

It can be complicated trying to give your child medicine, which is why we have CBD infused gummies! They have an amazing flavor that your kids will absolutely enjoy taking. CBD is safe for children, adults and even our furry friends, although we do recommend a smaller dose for children. At AHS we strive to provide education first before selling a product, so our customers feel confident in what they are putting into their bodies.
