Terpenes are organic compounds that provide aroma and flavor in cannabis.

Terpenes are formed inside cannabis trichomes, and their relative presence is directly affected by both the spectrum and intensity of light exposure. Over 100 different terpenes have been identified in the cannabis plant, and every strain tends toward a unique terpene type and composition. For example, a strain like Blueberry and its offspring will likely give off a berry smell.

Terpenes are popular in aromatherapy circles for providing holistic, natural healing. Terpenes may also play a key role in differentiating the effects of various cannabis strains by interacting with cannabinoids.

Some terpenes combat anxiety, pain, inflammation, insomnia, bacterial infections, and respiratory conditions, while others potentially boost mood and promote focus. One of the advantages of using terpenes in CBD is that you get a more predictable experience.

Using terpenes lets you know what effects you can likely expect from the product. CBD oil with terpenes is also beneficial due to the entourage effect.

The entourage effect is a term that refers to the synergistic behavior of cannabinoids. Which means, cannabinoids work together to produce a heightened, more beneficial effect on the body. Many users prefer full-spectrum CBD products for this reason.

When you use a full-spectrum CBD product, you get to make use of the benefits from CBD, other cannabinoids, and terpenes. The effect is thought to be stronger than what you get from a CBD isolate. Overall terpenes provide an extra boost to your cannabidiol, helping the body to make use of a daily supplement better. Come by and check out some of our full-spectrum CBD products!

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions you may have regarding CBD.

CBG is one of more than 100 cannabinoids native to the cannabis plant. Cannabinoids are a unique class of active chemical compounds that act on receptors in our cells and alter the release of neurotransmitters in the brain. Cannabigerol, or CBG, can be found in small amounts in both hemp and marijuana.

It is considered a minor cannabinoid because in most cannabis strains it is found in low concentrations, usually less than 1 percent in marijuana and less than 2 percent in hemp. CBG was first discovered and isolated by Israeli scientists Yehiel Gaoni and Ralph Mechoulam in 1964. Years later, Japanese researchers figured out that CBG starts out as CBGA, or cannabigerolic acid, and over time or when exposed to heat is synthesized into an active cannabinoid.

CBG is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid, meaning that when consumed it will not cause any type of euphoric or psycho-active effects like THC. In fact, some early evidence suggests that CBG may be able to suppress THC’s intoxicating effects. Like other cannabinoids, CBG influences the body and its functions by interacting with the endocannabinoid system (ECS).

The ECS is a complex signaling network responsible for keeping many of the body’s functions in balance. When you consume cannabis, the body absorbs CBG as well as the other cannabinoids present. CBG and other cannabinoids have a similar chemical makeup to the body’s naturally synthesized endocannabinoids, allowing them to interact with the endocannabinoid system’s cannabinoid receptors.

Cannabis breeders have started to experiment with genetic manipulation and plant crossbreeding to try and obtain higher yields of CBG. Scientists have found that they can extract higher levels of CBG from budding plants in the form of a CBG oil about six weeks into the eight-week flowering cycle, when CBG levels are highest because it has yet to be converted into other compounds.

Scientists also believe that CBG binds to certain endocannabinoid receptors in the brain that mitigate anxiety and pain. CBG has shown to stimulate bone growth, act as an antibacterial, anti-tumor and combat insomnia. Studies show that CBG may help alleviate inflammation, pain, nausea, proliferation of cancer cells and may significantly reduce intraocular eye pressure caused by glaucoma.

Come by A Healthy Solution Wellness Boutique and check out our new CBG products! Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions you may have regarding CBD and CBG.

One of the best ways to experience the effects of CBD is topically, specifically through a CBD infused massage. Cannabidiol(CBD) is a compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects.

CBD infused topicals include creams, salves, oils and patches. Research shows that CBD may help alleviate a plethora of conditions including issues such as aches and pains associated with muscle and joint soreness as well as inflammation.

CBD responds to receptors found in the skin and through those receptors, it sends messages through your nervous system that help bring the body back to equilibrium. The CBD receptors (known as CB2) are part of the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is the physiological system that helps the homeostatic functions within the central nervous system.

This includes maintenance of bodily functions, pain, inflammation, and the immune system.CB2 receptors are found in nerve and immune cells in just about every organ. CBD binds to CB2 receptors as well as TRPV1 receptors. Damaged tissues sensitize TRPV1 to its chemical and physical stimuli.

Adding massage further benefits the stimulation of TRPV1 activity and has a positive influence on the CB2 receptors, which helps alleviate inflammation and pain. People seek CBD massages to relax, escape stress and alleviate pain.

For athletes, CBD also has the reputation for accelerating the recovery and healing process of injured connective tissue. Overall, CBD massages are just another way to support your wellness lifestyle.

Our CBD infused massages are perfect for alleviating muscle and joint pain as well as inflammation and stress.

Roughly 60 million Americans are affected by insomnia each year and the condition appears to be more common in women and people over the age of 65. Insomnia is a sleep disorder that is characterized by difficulty falling and/or staying asleep.

Symptoms of Insomnia include daytime sleepiness, lack of concentration, slowness in activity, depression, headache and irritability. Treatment for insomnia includes cognitive behavioral therapy, light therapy and prescribed medications.

Medications used to treat insomnia include Zolpidem, Temazepam, Lorazepam, Eszopiclone, Trazodone, Diphenhydramine, Doxylamine, Mirtazapine and Amitriptyline. Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include dizziness, nausea, constipation, diarrhea, headache, muscle pain, amnesia, numbness, blurred vision, depression, irritability, confusion, aggression, hallucinations, skin rash, flu symptoms, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, sexual problems, weight gain and breast swelling.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. Research shows that CBD may help alleviate insomnia without the negative side effects of prescribed medications. CBD may affect sleep directly by interacting with receptors in the brain that govern the body’s daily sleep/wake cycles. CBD may also help alleviate insomnia by combating the causes of sleeplessness. A common cause of insomnia is anxiety and stress.

CBD helps regulate cortisol, a stress hormone, which has a significant impact on sleep cycles. Studies found that CBD is beneficial for anxiety-related disorders and an increase in sleep quality. For those who struggle with sleeplessness due to chronic or acute pain, CBD offers a natural alternative to pharmaceutical pain relievers. CBD helps reduce pain-induced sleeplessness by working on the symptoms themselves rather than providing a sedative effect like many sleep-aids.

Our AHS 1500mg Tincture can be taken sublingually along with SoCal Hemp co 25mg Gummies to help alleviate insomnia. Dosing will depend on your level of insomnia, level 3-6 should take the 25mg gummies, level 7-8 should take the 1500mg tincture and level 9-10 should take both.

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment. Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.

In 2019, roughly 1.8 million people were diagnosed with cancer in the United States. Chemotherapy is a form of cancer treatment where a patient is given drugs designed to kill cancer cells. Radiation therapy, on the other hand, is a type of cancer treatment where high doses of radiation are delivered to cancerous tumors in the body.

Cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy can produce an array of side effects, such as weakened immune system, bruising, hair loss, nausea, vomiting, neuropathy, labored breathing, constipation, diarrhea, fatigue and different types of body aches and pain.

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. Research suggests that CBD may ease neuropathic pain, nausea, and poor appetite due to cancer and cancer treatment. Both cancer and its treatment can lead to pain.

Cancer often causes pain due to inflammation, pressure on internal organs, or nerve injury. When the pain is severe, it can even become resistant to opioids, which are powerful pain relievers that can be highly addictive. CBD indirectly acts on the CB2 receptors, which may help with widespread pain relief by reducing inflammation.

Many people who are going through cancer treatment experience nausea and loss of appetite. These symptoms can make it difficult for them to maintain a healthy weight.Ingesting CBD that delivers cannabinoids to the bloodstream may help simulate appetite and ease nausea and vomiting. There is a plethora of CBD infused products that may help alleviate symptoms of cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Our AHS 1500mg Tincture can be taken sublingually along with our AHS 2500mg Custom Cream that can be applied topically to help reduce inflammation and neuropathic pain.

CBD Gummies can also be taken along with CBD infused Tea and Honey to help alleviate nausea, vomiting, fatigue and loss of appetite. Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

About 1 out of 10 Americans struggle with restless legs syndrome (RLS). Restless leg syndrome, which also goes by Willis-Ekbom Disease, is a non-life-threatening neurological disorder. While it may not be life-threatening, the symptoms can be painful and worsen as you age.

RLS is characterized by itchy, tingling, burning, and twitching feelings. With that, there’s often an unbearable need to move or kick your legs. RLS symptoms become more pronounced during the evening or later parts of the day. Many people struggling with RLS often have a hard time falling asleep or staying asleep.

This causes fatigue and sleepiness during the day. Treatment for restless legs syndrome includes massage therapy and prescribed medications. Medications used to treat RLS include Levodopa, Ropinirole, Pramipexole, Gabapentin and Pregabalin. Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, loss of appetite, insomnia, hallucinations, increased blood pressure, fever, viral infection, blurred vision and tremors.

CBD is a non-psychoactive chemical compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. Studies show that CBD may help alleviate symptoms of RLS without the negative side effects of prescribed medication. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a cannabinoid that interacts indirectly with receptors in the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS). This action essentially greases the system’s gears and maximizes its ability to do its job—which is to promote optimum functioning in the body’s other systems.

Taking CBD can help your body maintain homeostasis and lessen any symptoms that are preventing certain bodily functions from operating properly. In the case of RLS, this applies to CBD’s ability to help those who suffer from lack of sleep. Many people have trouble maintaining a consistent sleep-wake cycle, CBD has shown to improve sleep quality and make it easier to fall asleep.

CBD for restless legs syndrome also works by acting as a potential muscle relaxant. Research shows that CBD may calm the nerves in your legs that cause the tingling and painful sensations.

Our AHS 1500mg Tincture can be taken sublingually along with our AHS 2500mg Custom Cream that can be applied topically to help alleviate symptoms of RLS.

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment. Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.

More than 3 million people in the United States suffer from bulging spinal discs each year. A bulging disc injury is a common spine injury sustained to your spine’s intervertebral disc.

A bulging disc can commonly be referred to as a slipped disc or a protruding disc. However, when the disc bulge is significant enough for the disc nucleus to come out of the annulus, it is known as a herniated disc. This condition occurs when the soft center of a spinal disc pushes through a crack in the tougher exterior casing.

Disc bulge is characterized by pain in the arm, back, foot or leg, stiff neck, muscle weakness, muscle spasms, overactive reflexes and numbness of the leg, foot or hand. Treatment for bulging spinal discs include chiropractic therapy, physical therapy, epidural steroid injection, spinal surgery and prescribed medications.

Medications used to treat disc bulge include Naproxen, Oxycodone-acetaminophen, Amitriptyline, Duloxetine, Gabapentin, Pregabalin and Tramadol. Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, heart burn, headache, dizziness, bruising, itching, skin rash, swelling, ringing in the ears, appetite or weight changes, breast swelling, sexual problems, fever, viral infection, blurred vision and tremors.

CBD is a non-psychoactive chemical compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. Studies show that CBD may help alleviate symptoms of disc bulge without the negative side effects of prescribed medication. One study showed CBD used to treat disc bulge may help protect against deterioration.

New findings suggest that CBD may have protective effects on the inner cell lining of inter-vertebral discs. A recent study from China showed that the anti‑inflammatory, anti‑oxidative, and anti‑apoptosis properties of cannabidiol may contribute to CBD’s insulating effects on bulging disc cells.

Our AHS 1500mg Tincture can be taken sublingually and is perfect for regulating internal pain caused by bulging spinal discs.

Our AHS 2500mg Custom Cream can be applied topically and is great for combating inflammation caused by disc bulge. Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment. Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.

People are hit with nausea and vomiting for many reasons and on many occasions. Nausea is an unpleasant sensation of unease including an urge to vomit.

Motion sickness experienced at sea or in the air often induces vomiting, as many as 55% of pregnant women struggle with nausea during their first months of gestation and people exposed to chemical odors, offensive smells, and airborne toxins react with nausea and vomiting.

In some situations, vomiting is a positive and natural way to purge the system of poison, but severe nausea and vomiting may indicate larger problems and lead to dehydration and damage to the esophagus and digestive tract.

Nausea and vomiting are signs of appendicitis, blocked intestines, brain injury, concussion, flu, food poisoning, overeating, migraines, and more. In very serious cases, nausea and vomiting may indicate cancer, central nervous disorders, kidney problems, liver conditions and more.

Treatment for nausea includes prescribed medications called antiemetics. Medications used to treat nausea include Meclizine hydrochloride, Dimenhydrinate, Emetrol, and Bismuth subsalicylate. Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include blurred vision, constipation, dizziness, headache, vomiting, hyperactivity, dry mouth, ringing in the ears, fainting, weight loss, yellow eyes or skin, abdominal pain, anxiety, cold symptoms and swelling of the face, arms and legs.

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. Studies show that CBD may help alleviate nausea without the negative side effects of prescribed medications.

The endocannabinoid system(ECS) is a unique network of neurotransmitters and receptors that exist throughout the brain and body. Functionally, it appears to regulate a variety of internal homeostatic functions. Studies suggest that manipulating the endocannabinoid system can help regulate both nausea and vomiting.

Research also suggests that CBD can work as an antiemetic for humans, as it eases the effects of nausea and may even prevent it from occurring altogether.

Our AHS 1500mg Tincture can be taken sublingually and is perfect for alleviating nausea. Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist with any questions regarding CBD.

11 million people suffer from COPD in the United States alone and it’s the third leading cause of death by disease in the country. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a group of lung diseases that block airflow and make it difficult to breathe.

There are two main forms of COPD, chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Chronic bronchitis involves a long-term cough with mucus and emphysema involves damage to the lungs over time.

COPD is characterized by shortness of breath, chest pressure, wheezing, chronic cough and frequent respiratory infections. Treatment for COPD includes oxygen therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation and prescribed medications. Medications used to treat COPD include Ipratropium, Albuterol, Fluticasone, Arformoterol, Indacaterol, Salmeterol, Budesonide, Formoterol, Tiotropium, Levalbuterol, Pulmicort and Beclomethasone dipropionate.

Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include bladder pain, bloody urine, cough producing mucus, difficulty breathing, lower back pain, dizziness, insomnia, nausea, nosebleeds, headache, vomiting, tremors, wheezing, rapid heartbeat, bruising, acne, constipation, blurred vision and swelling of the ankles and feet.

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. Research shows that CBD may help alleviate symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease without the negative side effects of prescribed medication.

Everybody has an endocannabinoid system (ECS), which produces endocannabinoids that attach themselves to cannabinoid receptors located in all the major bodily systems. When endocannabinoids attach to these receptors, the bodily systems become regulated which promotes homeostasis throughout the body.

The respiratory system contains many cannabinoid receptors and it appears that when CBD is consumed, it attaches to these receptors in the respiratory system in order to improve its overall function. In addition to working with the body’s ECS, CBD contains anti-inflammatory properties.

COPD is an inflammatory condition, which means that CBD may help lower high amounts of inflammation. One study found that CBD may have a direct positive effect on inflammation of the airways. When the subjects consumed CBD, their airways were less obstructed.

Our AHS 1500mg tincture can be taken sublingually and is perfect for alleviating symptoms of COPD. Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.

According to the American College of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology, over 50 million Americans suffer from allergies each year. An allergy is our immune system’s negative response to a substance that is foreign to the body.

A substance that causes an allergic reaction is called an allergen. Allergens can be found in food, drinks, or the environment. The symptoms that come from an allergic reaction often range in severity and can include sneezing, rashes, itching, watery eyes, sniffling, runny nose, hives, chest tightness, coughing and swelling of the lips, tongue, eyes or face.

Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction that can occur within seconds or minutes of exposure to an allergen. Anaphylaxis causes your immune system to release a flood of chemicals that can cause you to go into shock and if it isn’t treated right away, it can be fatal.

Treatment for allergies include-prescribed medications, Saline nasal rinses, Corticosteroid creams, Immunotherapy and in severe Anaphylaxis cases Epinephrine injections. Medications used to treat allergies include Diphenhydramine, Chlorpheniramine, Cetirizine, Desloratadine, Fexofenadine, Beclomethasone, Budesonide, Fluticasone, Mometasone, Prednisolone and Methylprednisolone.

Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include dizziness, abdominal pain, constipation, blurred vision, involuntary facial movements, central nervous system depression, diarrhea, vomiting, muscle pain, fever, loss of appetite, insomnia, ear infection, respiratory difficulties, swollen glands, bruising, rectal bleeding, painful urination, nosebleeds, headache, skin rash, acne, and swelling of the ankles, hands and feet.

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. Studies show that CBD may help alleviate allergy symptoms without the negative side effects of prescribed medications.

Research has found that CBD may prevent mast cells from releasing histamines. Mast cells will produce histamines during inflammation or allergic reactions, which brings about the common allergy symptoms.

CBD is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties which can help during an allergic reaction by reducing swelling and irritation.

Our AHS 1500mg Tincture can be taken sublingually and is perfect for alleviating allergy symptoms. Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education an assist you with any questions regarding CBD.
