Discussions of the health benefits of cannabinoids like Cannabidiol (CBD) most often center on chronic conditions, including chronic pain, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. However, they have also shown to help alleviate everyday ailments like toothaches. Most toothaches happen because of pulpitis, an infection in the tooth.

The pulp is the soft area in the center of the tooth that contains nerves and blood vessels. We can feel heat, cold and touch in our teeth because of the pulp in them. The pulp also causes pain when it becomes injured or infected. Flossing and brushing regularly to remove irritating food particles, may help reduce toothache. Using pain relievers may also provide temporary relief, but it is best to limit use of topical medications containing benzocaine like Orajel.

Medications used to treat toothaches include Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen and Orajel. Each medication contains negative side effects that include headaches, dizziness, fatigue, sweating, numbness in hands and feet, blurred
vision, ringing in the ears, ankle swelling, abdominal pain, nausea, fast heartbeat, light headedness, and shortness of breath.

Orajel used in the mouth may cause a condition in which the oxygen in your body tissues can become dangerously low. This is a potentially fatal condition called methemoglobinemia. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects.

Studies show that CBD may help reduce pain and inflammation in an affected tooth by interacting with cannabinoid receptors. Some of these receptors have a link to the immune system and lower its response when they encounter CBD. Since our bodies create inflammation for immune purposes, the CBD reduces the inflammation they make, easing the pain and swelling associated with a toothache in the process.

We always recommend visiting a medical professional if you have a long-lasting or severe toothache. You can use CBD to make toothache pain more manageable, but only a dentist can address the cause.

If your level of pain is & lt 4/7 you can take our AHS 750mg Essential Tincture Oil. If your level of pain is & gt 8/10 you can take our AHS 1500mg Isolate Tincture Oil. For best results drop the CBD oil on a cotton swab and apply to affected tooth and gums.

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new regimen. Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.

Nearly 125 million Americans live with inflammatory conditions and 61 million have more than one. When you are injured, your immune system reacts by causing inflammation that helps your body heal. However, in some cases inflammation becomes chronic, which means it sticks around longer than the time required to heal your injury.

Many adults are prescribed opioids to manage pain. For some clients, pain relief is essential to being able to function normally, but opioid medications usually do little more than mask symptoms and control pain for a short time. More importantly, with long-term use, painkillers can lead to an opioid dependence, which can have devastating effects on clients and their families.

Even when they are used for a short time, prescription opioids may cause side effects that make it difficult to perform daily activities. Studies show that CBD may help alleviate chronic and acute pain and inflammation without the negative side effects of prescribed medications.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. The main way that CBD may help reduce inflammation is by supporting and regulating our body’s immune system. The receptors for CBD, called CB2 receptors, are located mostly within the body, specifically in the immune system.

This internal cannabinoid system, called the endocannabinoid system (ECS), makes sure the immune system does not mistakenly cause inflammation in various areas of the body. When combined with this compound’s other properties, CBD may be a powerful supplement for your health.

Cannabidiol has been shown to not only be anti-inflammatory, but also antioxidant, anti-nausea, pain relieving, and anti-seizure. All of these effects combined with immune support make CBD a great treatment for many autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

There are plenty of products that we recommend for chronic or acute pain and inflammation. Our AHS 1500mg Isolate Tincture, Miller Healer 2000mg Tincture or AHS 3000mg Supreme Tincture can be taken sublingually depending on your inflammatory condition and pain levels.

Our 2500mg Custom Cream can also be applied topically to affected areas to help alleviate pain and inflammation. Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment.

Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions you may have regarding CBD.

CBD has become a very popular discussion lately, you tend to hear about its therapeutic effects on conditions such as epilepsy, chronic pain, inflammation, anxiety and insomnia. When experiencing such uncomfortable symptoms we lean on different medications to help alleviate those symptoms, however we still end up dealing with the very unpleasant side effects that come along with certain medications.

Which brings us to the discussion of why CBD is so popular and has proven to show high success rates in relieving symptoms such as pain, anxiety and insomnia. Cannabinoid receptors are utilized by the body through the endocannabinoid system, which includes a group of lipid proteins, enzymes, and receptors that are involved in many physiological processes. Through its modulation of neurotransmitter release, the endocannabinoid system regulates cognition, pain sensation, appetite, memory, sleep, immune function, and mood among many other bodily systems. These effects are largely mediated through two members of the G-protein coupled receptor family, cannabinoid receptors 1 and 2 (CB1 and CB2). CB1 receptors are found in both the central and peripheral nervous systems.

CB2 receptors are mainly found peripherally in immune cells, lymphoid tissue, and peripheral nerve terminals. There are many different types of ways to ingest CBD such as topicals, oils, capsules, vapes and edibles. Unlike different medications that cause uncomfortable side effects or long term use complications, CBD does not.

One-way to experience side effects from CBD is to ingest a large amount which is not recommended for example ingesting a full bottle of a 1500mg tincture in one sitting. That would cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea which is the reason why we set a recommended dose for each client and do not recommend ingesting the full bottle. One of the main reasons CBD is chosen over prescribed medication is because there is no long-term use complications.

CBD is not harsh on the body nor does it have addictive properties. Understanding exactly how CBD works can be very confusing to some, which is why at AHS we take pride in providing education so you are comfortable and confident in the products you are trying.
