Discussions of the health benefits of cannabinoids like Cannabidiol (CBD) most often center on chronic conditions, including chronic pain, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. However, they have also shown to help alleviate everyday ailments like toothaches. Most toothaches happen because of pulpitis, an infection in the tooth.

The pulp is the soft area in the center of the tooth that contains nerves and blood vessels. We can feel heat, cold and touch in our teeth because of the pulp in them. The pulp also causes pain when it becomes injured or infected. Flossing and brushing regularly to remove irritating food particles, may help reduce toothache. Using pain relievers may also provide temporary relief, but it is best to limit use of topical medications containing benzocaine like Orajel.

Medications used to treat toothaches include Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen and Orajel. Each medication contains negative side effects that include headaches, dizziness, fatigue, sweating, numbness in hands and feet, blurred
vision, ringing in the ears, ankle swelling, abdominal pain, nausea, fast heartbeat, light headedness, and shortness of breath.

Orajel used in the mouth may cause a condition in which the oxygen in your body tissues can become dangerously low. This is a potentially fatal condition called methemoglobinemia. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects.

Studies show that CBD may help reduce pain and inflammation in an affected tooth by interacting with cannabinoid receptors. Some of these receptors have a link to the immune system and lower its response when they encounter CBD. Since our bodies create inflammation for immune purposes, the CBD reduces the inflammation they make, easing the pain and swelling associated with a toothache in the process.

We always recommend visiting a medical professional if you have a long-lasting or severe toothache. You can use CBD to make toothache pain more manageable, but only a dentist can address the cause.

If your level of pain is & lt 4/7 you can take our AHS 750mg Essential Tincture Oil. If your level of pain is & gt 8/10 you can take our AHS 1500mg Isolate Tincture Oil. For best results drop the CBD oil on a cotton swab and apply to affected tooth and gums.

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new regimen. Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.

It’s estimated that about 1.2 percent of U.S. people have active epilepsy and about 1 in 26 people will develop epilepsy at some point during their lifetime. Epilepsy is a neurological disorder marked by sudden recurrent episodes of sensory disturbance, loss of consciousness, or convulsions, associated with abnormal electrical activity in the brain.

Epilepsy is characterized by seizures that cause falling, compulsive movement of limbs, interrupted breathing, loss of bowel and bladder control, confusion, blank starring, chewing, wandering, incoherent speech, crying, running, screaming, flailing, disrobing and slow return to consciousness.

Treatment for epilepsy includes prescribed medications and in some cases surgery, devices and dietary changes. Medications used to treat epilepsy include Topiramate, Gabapentin, Pregabalin, Diazepam, Midazolam, Clonazepam, Phenobarbital, Carbamazepine, Lamotrigine, Oxcarbazepine, Levetiracetam, Primidone, Ethosuximide, Felbamate and Phenytoin.

Each prescribed medication contains negative side effects that include anxiety, confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, lack of concentration, memory impairment, nausea, nervousness, speech disturbance, depression, visual disturbance, weight loss, abnormal eye movement, fever, headache, lower back pain, aggression and hallucinations.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effects. Research shows that CBD may help control seizures without the negative side effects of prescribed medications.

A breakthrough study presented at the annual meeting of the American Epilepsy Society, in December 2015, announced medical cannabinoids seems to be the most powerful way to control and treat seizures, especially in children. CBD’s non-psychoactive element has shown to be the most effective treatment for treatment-resistant epilepsy. CBD may help in seizure reduction and relief because it works as an anti-convulsant and protects the nervous system.

100mg CBD infused patches can be placed on the back of the neck or center of the chest to help reduce seizures. 1500mg to 3000mg broad or full spectrum CBD tincture oil can be taken sublingually along with 300mg CBD infused gummies to help keep epilepsy under control.

Epilepsy Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment. Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.

The topic of CBD has increased over the years. We know CBD is used for alleviating symptoms such as chronic pain, inflammation, anxiety, insomnia and many other symptoms. There is so much to learn about CBD but one fact many don’t know is, CBD is very much safe for children.

CBD is non-psychoactive, it does not get users high, it’s nonaddictive, and it has a low risk of side effects—which makes it completely safe for children.

Cannabinoids and endocannabinoids occur naturally in the body, and children are exposed to external cannabinoids quite frequently. In fact, human breast milk is an abundant source of endocannabinoids, which assist with infant development. Now you are probably wondering why children might need to use CBD?

Studies show that CBD is an extremely potent anticonvulsant and can help manage severe forms of childhood epilepsy and ADD/ADHD.

Anti-seizure medications for example, can produce drowsiness, fatigue, behavioral changes, and more. ADD/ADHD medications on the other hand can cause nervousness, agitation, anxiety, sleep problems, nausea, vomiting, and other side effects.

It’s not uncommon for some children dealing with these conditions to use multiple medications at a time, usually to manage the side effects of another medication they may be taking. CBD on the other hand serves as a natural alternative with no side effects and does not cause long term complications.

CBD is also capable in alleviating less serious conditions, not to mention it’s a great supplement to keep your child in good health in a natural way. If you’re giving CBD oil to your child for general supplementation purposes, you can expect the following benefits such as improved focus, better memory, higher alertness, better quality of sleep and boosted immune function.

It can be complicated trying to give your child medicine, which is why we have CBD infused gummies! They have an amazing flavor that your kids will absolutely enjoy taking. CBD is safe for children, adults and even our furry friends, although we do recommend a smaller dose for children. At AHS we strive to provide education first before selling a product, so our customers feel confident in what they are putting into their bodies.
