CBC (Cannabichromene) is a lesser-known cannabinoid found in cannabis and hemp plants. Though not as widely studied as THC or CBD, CBC has shown promising potential for various health benefits. Here are some of the positive effects of CBC on human anatomy:

1. Anti-Inflammatory Properties

CBC interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS – balances body – creates homeostasis) to reduce inflammation without directly binding to CB1 or CB2 receptors.

It enhances the effects of other cannabinoids like CBD, potentially making it useful for treating conditions like arthritis, inflammatory diseases, and chronic pain.

2. Pain Relief (Analgesic Effects)

CBC has been found to influence pain perception by interacting with TRPV1 and TRPA1 receptors, which are involved in pain sensation, and body inflammation.

Its possible it helps chronic pain management without the psychoactive effects of THC or mushrooms.

3. Neuroprotective Benefits

Studies suggest that CBC may support brain health by promoting neurogenesis (the growth of new brain cells).

It helps protect against neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.

4. Mood Enhancement & Anti-Depressant Effects

CBC interacts with serotonin receptors, which play a role in regulating mood.

Increasing Anandamide (“The Bliss Molecule”).

It may have antidepressant properties, making it a potential natural remedy for anxiety and depression. This could be beneficial for cognitive function, stress resilience, and mental health recovery.

5. Targets Executive Dysfunction

promotes metacognitive awareness, enabling clients to identify maladaptive thoughts and behaviors and replace them with more constructive strategies.

In the world of CBD and its many counterparts, the word “homeostasis” is thrown around a lot. What exactly does it mean to be in a state of homeostasis? How is CBD able to help you reach that point? In this article, we will go over the exact definition of this word and how CBD as a compound is linked to it.

Homeostasis, what is it?
It means “the tendency toward a relatively stable equilibrium between interdependent elements, especially as maintained by physiological processes.” Or in a simpler definition “A state of balance among all the body systems needed for the body to survive and function correctly.” This means your entire being, body and mind, are where they need to be to properly function on a day-to-day basis, and in this state, you are more likely to be in an overall better state of health as well.

How is CBD and the other cannabinoids linked to this?
The human body has something called an endocannabinoid system (ECS), this system in the brain is in charge for so many of our day-to-day functions. Some of these functions including sleep, mood, appetite, memory, etc. Did you know that all humans have this endocannabinoid system in them even if they don’t use any form of cannabis? All humans and animals are born with this system and start our lives in a state of homeostasis, but over time our brains can be thrown out of this state. This is where a lot of physical and mental conflicts come into play. Your body is able to create its own cannabinoids, similar to those found in cannabis, which is part of how CBD can help put our brains back into this homeostasis. The endocannabinoids can bind to either receptor, the effects that result depend on where the receptor is located and which endocannabinoid it binds to. While not all CBD products can fully accomplish this, a lot of them can help you get closer to that point. Each item has a different use, some better for pain, others better for sleep, and products even used for stress/anxiety. The one that is
most helpful for homeostasis would be CBD oil/tincture, this is due to it going through your bloodstream and distributing cannabinoids throughout the whole body.

How is the endocannabinoid system linked to my health?
This system works though two systems in your body called the CB1 and CB2 systems. The CB1 receptors are located in the brain and throughout the body, while CB2 receptors are found mostly in the immune and gastrointestinal system; although CB2 receptors are also found in the brain, they are not expressed quite as densely as CB1 receptors. CB1 receptors are responsible for motor activity, memory,
coordination, pain receptors, appetite, short term memory, and immunity. While the CB2 receptors are responsible for the gut, kidneys, pancreas, skeletal muscle, bone, eyes, reproductive system, immune system, respiratory tract, skin, central nervous system, cardiovascular system, and liver.

Conclusion
CBD is usually a good go-to when improving your overall health, being able to improve so many parts of the body. It can be used for topical pains and inflammation, all the way to mood balance and depression. At AHS, we have trained staff who are able to help you find a product for your exact needs. We have a nurse on staff and owner who are able to provide personal consolations to help you find you healthy solution today.

Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness is more than being free from illness, it is a dynamic process of change and growth. Traditionally we treat our bodies with over-the-counter medications and prescriptions to obtain overall wellness.

However, CBD may serve as a more natural alternative for a healthier and well-balanced lifestyle. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a compound derived from the hemp plant known for its potential therapeutic effect. Research shows that CBD may help with an array of conditions as well as maintain general wellness without the negative side effects of prescribed medications.

Our bodies are in a constant quest for balance also known as ‘Homeostasis’. Homeostasis is a term used to describe the process of maintaining internal balance in an ever-changing external environment. In humans, homeostasis refers to a plethora of individual yet interdependent processes that ultimately keep our bodies functioning properly.

The Endocannabinoid system (ECS) works to maintain homeostasis by using cannabinoid receptors to monitor reactions in the body. When a discrepancy is detected, cannabinoids are synthesized to interact with receptors. Then they stimulate a chemical response to address the issue.

The difference between cannabinoid receptors and other receptors in the body is that they incite two-way communication. This means that cannabinoid molecules can exchange information to achieve the desired result and balance.

The introduction of CBD into this system can increase the effectiveness of the endocannabinoid system. Which gives your body the ability to remain in balance and achieve optimal health and overall wellness. Our SoCal Hemp co. 600mg tincture can be taken sublingually and is perfect for maintaining general wellness. 20mg of CBD per day can be taken in the morning or night to allow the body to go into homeostasis.

Always consult your primary care physician before starting a new treatment. Our team of specialists are always available to provide you with education and assist you with any questions regarding CBD.

There are many different reasons why people turn to CBD. Some people use CBD for better sleep, to ease stress and anxiety, heal digestive systems issues, alleviate depression.. the list can go on and on. Almost every illness or sickness is rooted in the source that our body is dealing with some sort of inflammation. Whether that be an inflammation in the brain causing misfire serotonin or dopamine causing things like anxiety or depression, or chronic inflammation in a muscle joint. As humans, we are constantly fueling our bodies with new foods, trying new workouts, changing sleeping routines, and coping with new emotions. It is only normal that the body can easily get “out of balance” from these constantly changing external factors.

CBD is so healing for many different issues in the body because it helps bring the body to “homeostasis”. Homeostasis is defined as the dynamic state of equilibrium of internal physical and chemical conditions, aka your body function “in balance”.

What is homeostasis in the body?

Maintaining homeostasis is the key to well-functioning, healthy body. Factors internally that contribute to this are:

Glucose levels

Stomach PH levels

Production of serotonin

Blood pressure

Respiratory rate

Hormone Production

Muscle Recovery

How CBD can help maintain Homeostasis:

Scientists only recently discovered our bodies naturally create cannabinoids to help reduce inflammation, unhealthy cell growth, and nerve dysfunction. Cannabinoids are produced by the human body as well as by the hemp plant. In the body, they are called endocannabinoids, where they work in a kind of “lock and key” relationship with the body’s natural Endocannabinoid system, a physiological system present in all mammals to regulate homeostatic processes. In the hemp plant, we get the cannabinoids from what is called phytocannabinoids.

CBD we consume, affects the endocannabinoids system (ECS) that the system controls and helps pain management, inflammation, immune response, appetite, metabolism, memory, mood, emotions, and more. By feeding the body with cannabinoids, it aids in naturally building the system stronger and more powerful to reach homeostasis on a regular basis. This is why taking CBD on a regime routine is so important, that way you work in partnership with your body to become stronger.

Disease and Conditions caused by homeostasis:

Diabetes

Hypo/hyper Gylcemia

High Blood Pressure

Obesity

Arthritis

Osteoporosis

Thyroid Disorders

Endocrine

Crohn’s Disease

Depression

Fibromyalgia

Lupus

Just to name a few!
